Not sure if this is frowned upon by proper philosophers, but I would totally recommend Ray Monk's biography Ludwig Wittgenstein: The Duty of Wittgenstein Genius (thanks u/doriangray42). He does a great job at introducing Wittgenstein's basic philosophical ideas (early and later) while putting them into the context of a turbulent and quite extraordinary life. The best introductions to philosophy, as recommended by the freelance philosopher and author of a 'Little History of Philosophy', Nigel Warburton. One way of reading the book is as a critique of Wittgenstein’s “family resemblance argument” about games. Wittgenstein says that there is no one thing in common that is shared by all games.

Wittgenstein is a difficult philosopher to read. I thought that a book with comics would turn his ideas easier to understand but I had some difficulty in understanding even the draws.

I love these Introducing/ for Beginners Books, and this one about Wittgenstein is no different. It is difficult philosophy to grasp, and the book does a glossing of it, but it's an excellent introduction to a very important philosopher. The book also does a good job painting the historical and biographical context of Wittgenstein's work/5.
